Our story begins at Michigan State University on a Friday night in April 2019 at a college bar called Harper’s. It was the last stop of a bar crawl Elise was on and Jacob was convinced by his friends to go out after seeing a late night play for one of his classes. Elise was dancing with some friends when she bumped into Jacob and they started chatting on the dance floor. Elise didn’t believe that Jacob was 21 and (embarrassingly) asked to see Jacob’s ID. After seeing that Jacob was in fact 21, she offered to buy him an apology drink. They continued chatting, dancing, and eventually got each other’s numbers.

 

After texting for the next few days, Jacob gathered the courage to ask Elise out on a date to Hopcat. It was the most wonderful date where they got to learn so much more about each other and from that moment on, their journey together unfolded, filled with love, adventures, and endless laughter. The rest, as they say, is history and they can’t wait to finally start this next chapter of their lives being married in Madison, Wisconsin with their two silly cats, Cheddar and Ollie.
